Details.... Simple... Details...

I love simple details! Simple and subtle, but fun details... A simple hat, a pair of glasses, flowers, a special blanket... nothing too matchy, matchy! Casual, yet coordinated, goes a long way. Don't let your clothing be your statement, remember you are the key accent in the picture....Babies are best in what they were born with... add a simple detail from above and wa...la... you have the perfect photo.... Small children should be comfortable and have one thing to hold, that takes the focus off of taking the picture... ie... glasses, flowers, a lovey or better yet, a popsicle or a cookie! Teens and tweens... all you need is nature, an old barn door as a back drop, or an item that reflects their personality.... ie, an instrument, a favorite sports field (and/or piece of equipment), even a favorite car (classics are the best!) and again, a perfect picture is born.... Families... the world is your oyster... The classic beach shot, horse farm, hiking spot, it doesn't matter... Just compliment your clothes and try to keep the color tones simple... Are you on to me yet... simple, simple, simple. Let yourself shine!

Location, location, location...

I am happy to travel to a location of your choice. Some favorite spots might include the beach, near a lake or pond, a scenic park or hike, a farm (fences and barns make great backdrops & props), a favorite playground, or in your own yard. I prefer to work in a comfortable space for you. Outdoor shots are my specialty; however, I am willing to do indoor shoots too... maybe in your favorite museum, historical location, school or home. I am able to bring my studio to you, as well! Mention it, if you are interested.

Timing is everything...

Outdoor photos should be scheduled in either the early morning around 9 am or in the evening, around 4 pm, for best lighting opportunities. I am happy to work around your schedule; however, if you need to cancel your shoot, please give at least 48 hours notice, otherwise a fee may be charged.
